Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max: What Xiaomi Has Confirmed Before the 23 September Launch

Xiaomi has announced that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will launch in China on 23 September 2026 at 7 PM China time. We only list what Xiaomi has confirmed. There are no leaks or rumours in this post.

What Xiaomi has confirmed

  • Launch: 23 September 2026, 7 PM China time, at Xiaomi’s autumn launch event in China.
  • Chip: a 2nm flagship mobile platform built on a 2nm GAA process. Xiaomi has not named the chip in its confirmation.
  • Cameras: a Leica camera system with two 200MP sensors, a large main sensor and a large periscope telephoto sensor.
  • Display: a new-generation panel with very thin borders of 0.99 mm.
  • Battery: 7,000mAh on the 18 Pro and 8,500mAh on the 18 Pro Max.
  • Shared hardware: both models use the same chip, camera and display system, and the battery is the main difference.

What has not been announced

  • The price of either phone.
  • Any India launch date or India price.
  • The chip’s official name, and details such as charging speed, until Xiaomi shares them.

What to do now

If you are planning to buy a phone soon, wait for the official launch and for Xiaomi India to announce its plans. Be careful with websites that claim to take “pre-orders” before a launch is confirmed in your country.
