West Indies Win 5th T20I By 8 Wickets, Seal Series 3-2 Over India
West Indies beat India by 8 wickets in the series-deciding 5th T20I at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, sealing the five-match series 3-2. Brandon King and Nicholas Pooran led the chase, with India’s batters struggling to post a competitive total on a pitch that favoured the chasing side under lights.
The result means West Indies win their first bilateral T20I series in India in recent years, a notable away result given India’s strong home record in the format. India’s batting lineup came under scrutiny after failing to fire in the decider, having also lost the 2nd and 4th matches of the series.
India’s next assignment is the tour of New Zealand, starting with the first T20I on October 22 at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
