Yuvraj Singh Joins Delhi Capitals As Assistant And Batting Coach Ahead Of IPL 2027

Yuvraj Singh has joined Delhi Capitals as an assistant and batting coach ahead of IPL 2027, bringing one of Indian cricket’s most celebrated match-winners into a coaching role with the franchise.

Yuvraj, known for his explosive stroke play and a central role in India’s 2011 World Cup and 2007 T20 World Cup triumphs, has largely stayed connected to the game through mentoring and commentary roles since retiring from international cricket. His appointment adds significant batting expertise to the Delhi Capitals’ coaching setup as the team looks to rebuild for the upcoming season.

Franchises bringing in former stars as specialist coaches has become an increasingly common trend in the IPL, with teams betting that the game-reading and technical insight of recently-retired greats can translate into tangible improvements for current players. Further coaching and support staff announcements from Delhi Capitals are expected as the franchise finalises its setup for the new season.
