Jailer 2 Crosses ₹50 Crore In Worldwide Advance Bookings On Opening Day
Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2” has crossed ₹50 crore in gross advance bookings worldwide for its opening day, with the Tamil version accounting for roughly 87% of the India advance, signalling a strong start as the film opens today.
In Tamil Nadu alone, opening-day advance bookings crossed ₹10 crore, with over 3,300 shows scheduled and more than 500 already sold out ahead of release. Overseas advance bookings have also been robust, nearing ₹25 crore gross internationally. Early reactions from premiere viewers have also pointed to Hrithik Roshan’s cameo appearance in the film as a highlight.
These figures reflect advance bookings rather than final Day 1 collections, which will depend on remaining pre-sales and walk-in audiences once shows begin. Given the scale of the original “Jailer’s” success in 2023, trade watchers will be tracking whether the sequel can match or exceed that benchmark over its opening weekend.
