Google Launches Fitbit Edge At $180 With Health Guardian Feature And 7-Day Battery
Google has expanded its wearable lineup with the Fitbit Edge, a new $180 smartwatch featuring a built-in screen and up to seven days of battery life, alongside a new “Health Guardian” feature rolling out across Fitbit Air and Edge devices.
Health Guardian expands automatic activity tracking and health monitoring, part of a broader push by Google to deepen health-focused features across its Fitbit range. The company has also partnered with Flo Health to bring expanded women’s health tracking to its ecosystem.
The launch places Fitbit Edge in direct competition with other mid-range fitness wearables, at a price point aimed at buyers who want solid battery life and health tracking without paying flagship smartwatch prices. Availability details for international markets, including India, are expected to follow the initial rollout.
