What is the song about?
The song is about Parvati’s firm wish to marry Shiva. The seven sages (Saptarishi) try to talk her out of it by speaking of his simple, unusual ways, but she stays calm and sure. This retells a well-known moment from tradition, found in the Puranas and in Kalidasa’s Kumarasambhava, in a warm, folk style.
