- More than 15,000 trained volunteers from Bharat Scouts and Guides are planned, working through more than 20 camps. In 2016 about 7,500 scouts and guides served through 10 camps.
- About 100 master trainers will be prepared with the disaster management institute.
- Each district of the state will train 500 youths, and each district of the Ujjain division 1,000.
- The government expects roughly 40 crore (400 million) visitors at Simhastha 2028. This is an official estimate, not a confirmed figure.
The announcement was made at a seminar with Bharat Scouts and Guides on 23 September in Bhopal.
2. National Ayurveda Day: new building for Bhopal’s district Ayurveda hospital
On the 11th National Ayurveda Day (23 September), the foundation stone was laid for a new building of the Government District Ayurveda Hospital in Bhopal. The AYUSH department has sanctioned Rs 4.95 crore for the new building and renovation work. Officials said the aim is better access to Ayurveda treatment for citizens.
3. International Day of Sign Languages: interpreters at police stations and hospitals
At a state event on 23 September, the Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities said sign language is not only a way to talk but a base for education, jobs, rights and social participation. He said efforts are on to arrange trained sign-language interpreters at police stations, hospitals and other everyday places. It was also announced that the Social Justice Bhawan in Bhopal will be renamed “Sashaktikaran Bhawan”.
4. Shakti Cafe: 18th centre opens in Bhopal
Madhya Pradesh Police opened the 18th “Shakti Cafe” in Bhopal on 22 September, near the GRP (Government Railway Police) headquarters. A “Parimal Canteen” was also started. The cafes are run by women who have faced violence or hardship, to help them earn a steady income. The idea began in 2022 under “safe spaces for women in urban areas” and “safe tourism for women”. Cafes near police stations and public places give the women work along with easy access to police help.
- Women running the cafes can get loans through State Bank of India under the PM Mudra Yojana.
- They receive training through partner organisations, including catering, food preparation and hygiene.
- Officials said some women have repaid their loans early.
