Koffee With Karan Season 9, The Final Season, Premieres Today On JioHotstar

“Koffee With Karan” returns for its ninth and final season on JioHotstar from October 14, bringing an end to Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show after a 22-year run that began in 2004 with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as the first guests.

Reports suggest Salman Khan will open the final season, appearing solo rather than with family members as in some past appearances. Johar has promised a “new syntax” for the season, with shorter segments and format tweaks to keep things fresh, and has said the show will widen its guest list beyond Hindi film stars to include South Indian cinema names, OTT talent, and digital creators.

Across eight seasons and 161 episodes, the show became known for its candid celebrity banter and the “Koffee quiz” round. Johar has said he wants to dedicate more time to filmmaking going forward, which is part of why this run will be the show’s last.
