iPhone 18 Pro Is Here: India Price, Offers and Should You Upgrade?
It is finally here. Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max went on sale in India on 18 September 2026. This guide covers everything in one place: the official price of every version, bank offers and the net price, the price in Madhya Pradesh and Indore, all the new features, the full specifications, a fair comparison with the iPhone 17 Pro, and a clear answer to the big question: should you buy or upgrade?
Launch timeline
- 9 September 2026: Apple announces the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
- 12 September: pre-orders open.
- 14 September: iOS 27 is released.
- 18 September: sale begins in India (8 am IST on Apple’s online store, as reported) and in more than 65 countries.
Apple has announced only the Pro and Pro Max in this launch. There is no standard iPhone 18 yet.

Offers and net price
- Bank cashback: Apple’s store offers instant cashback on eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards only. It is reported at up to ₹7,000.
- Net price with the maximum cashback (256GB): about ₹1,57,900 for the iPhone 18 Pro and ₹1,72,900 for the Pro Max, as reported. The cashback on higher storage models may differ, so check at checkout.
- Trade-in: reported at up to ₹81,500, depending on the model and condition of your old phone. Ask for the exact quote before you decide.
- EMI: available on eligible cards, with net banking, UPI and payment on delivery also listed as options.

iPhone 18 Pro price in Madhya Pradesh and Indore
Apple’s online store shows one India-wide price. So the prices above apply in Madhya Pradesh and Indore as well: ₹1,64,900 for the iPhone 18 Pro and ₹1,79,900 for the Pro Max (256GB), with the same bank offers when you buy online.
- Buying online: enter your PIN code at checkout to see the delivery date. Indore PIN codes start with 452.
- Buying in a shop: visit an Apple Authorised Reseller. Local shops may run their own festive or exchange offers, so compare the final price with Apple’s.

Everything new in the iPhone 18 Pro
Camera: variable aperture arrives
- 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, controlled by six laser-cut blades, with four settings: ƒ/1.48, ƒ/1.8, ƒ/2.8 and ƒ/4.0. A wide aperture lets in more light and gives softer backgrounds. A narrow one keeps more of the scene sharp.
- A new sensor with second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilisation.
- 48MP Ultra Wide (13 mm, ƒ/2.2, 120° field of view) and 48MP Telephoto (100 mm, 4x, ƒ/2.8) with 8x optical-quality zoom, a 16x optical-quality range and digital zoom up to 40x.
- Pro controls in the Camera app: manual aperture, shutter speed and white balance, plus a histogram.
- Video: 4K Dolby Vision up to 120 fps, Cinematic effects applied after capture at up to 60 fps, and 4K time-lapse in Dolby Vision.
- An 18MP Center Stage front camera (ƒ/1.9) that also powers Face ID.
- Apple also announced a Reference Image feature for verifying a photo’s authenticity. Availability can vary by country.
Chip and cooling: faster, and it stays fast
- A20 Pro, built on a 2-nanometre process, with a 6-core CPU (2 super cores and 4 efficiency cores), a 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and a dual 16-core Neural Engine.
- Apple says the GPU is up to 40% faster than the A19 Pro, AI processing power is double, and memory bandwidth is 50% higher.
- A next-generation vapor chamber with three times the surface area of the previous one. Apple claims up to a 40% gain in sustained performance, which matters for long gaming and video sessions.
Display and Dynamic Island
- 6.3-inch (iPhone 18 Pro) and 6.9-inch (Pro Max) Super Retina XDR OLED display, 2622×1206 and 2868×1320 pixels at 460 ppi.
- ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On display, 1,000 nits typical, 1,600 nits HDR peak and 3,000 nits outdoor peak.
- A redesigned Dynamic Island that can show three Live Activities at once.
Battery and charging
- Video playback (Apple India): up to 34 hours on the iPhone 18 Pro and 43 hours on the Pro Max. Streamed video: up to 31 and 38 hours. Typical use: up to 23 and 29 hours.
- Fast charging: up to 50% in around 15 minutes with a 60W adapter, or in 30 minutes with a 35W adapter. Wireless charging up to 25W with MagSafe or Qi2.
- In the box: the phone and a 1-metre USB-C cable. There is no power adapter, so budget for one.
Design, build and durability
- Aluminium unibody with Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and back, and IP68 water and dust resistance (up to 6 metres for 30 minutes).
- 71.9 × 150.0 × 8.75 mm and 211 g (Pro); 78.0 × 163.4 × 8.75 mm and 249 g (Pro Max).
- Action button and Camera Control. Apple says each phone has 40% recycled content, including 85% recycled aluminium in the enclosure and 100% recycled cobalt in the battery.
Connectivity and SIM
- 5G (sub-6 GHz) with 4×4 MIMO, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
- Dual SIM: nano-SIM and eSIM.
- USB-C with USB 3 speeds of up to 10 Gbps.
Software and AI
- Ships with iOS 27, with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI (rolling out in beta). Some features arrive later or vary by region.

iPhone 17 Pro figures are from Apple’s specifications and its launch coverage; its current price may differ. Battery and charging figures come from Apple’s own tests, under different conditions.
What did not change: the screen size, brightness and resolution, the ultra wide and telephoto cameras, the front camera, the dimensions, USB speed, IP68 rating, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The real changes are the variable-aperture main camera, the faster chip with better cooling, slightly quicker charging and a higher storage option.

- Our view: choose the Pro Max if battery life and a big screen matter most. Choose the Pro if you want a phone that is easier to carry.
Which storage should you buy?
Stepping up from 256GB to 512GB costs ₹25,000, then ₹50,000 more for 1TB and ₹75,000 more for 2TB. Our view: 256GB is enough for most people. Consider 512GB if you shoot a lot of 4K video or keep large offline libraries. 1TB and 2TB make sense mainly for heavy video creators.
