Hyundai Bayon India Launch Expected This Festive Season, Here’s What We Know
Hyundai is reportedly preparing to bring its compact SUV, the Bayon, to India, with multiple reports pointing to a potential festive-season launch, ahead of Diwali. The company has not officially confirmed an exact launch date or pricing yet.
The Bayon is expected to slot between the sub-4-metre Venue and the next-generation Creta, positioning it to rival SUVs like the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Maruti Suzuki Victoris. Early estimates suggest a price range of roughly Rs 9-14 lakh (ex-showroom), though this remains unconfirmed.
On the powertrain side, reports suggest the India-spec Bayon could use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, the same unit found in the Creta and Verna, with a factory-fitted CNG option also expected to be offered. Buyers interested in the SUV should watch for an official announcement from Hyundai Motor India in the coming weeks for confirmed details.
