Abhishek Sharma has matched Suryakumar Yadav’s record for the most sixes by an Indian batter in men’s T20I cricket in a calendar year, reaching 68 sixes in 2026 during the third T20I against West Indies in Indore.

The milestone came during an explosive 30-ball innings that included five sixes and six fours, as Abhishek continued his aggressive form at the top of India’s batting order through the year. Suryakumar Yadav originally set the mark in 2022, and with the series against West Indies still running, Abhishek has further opportunities to break the record outright rather than simply equal it.
