Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ Releases October 15 Worldwide, Dussehra Weekend Launch

Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2” is set to hit theatres worldwide on October 15, timed for the Dussehra weekend, as the sequel to 2023’s blockbuster “Jailer,” which earned around ₹650 crore globally.

Directed again by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel brings back Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu alongside an expanded cast that includes Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Mithun Chakraborty, SJ Suryah, and Vidya Balan. Rajinikanth has confirmed that filming has wrapped, with composer Anirudh Ravichander still finishing the background score as post-production work continues.

The makers have reaffirmed the release date after earlier rumours of a possible postponement, with Sun Pictures confirming the film remains on track for its October 15 worldwide release. Reviews are expected to follow from opening day.
