Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship 2026: Application Deadline Closing Around October 15
Indian students planning to pursue a one-year taught Master’s degree in the UK have only a couple of days left to apply for the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship, with the application deadline falling around October 15.
The scholarship, run by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), fully funds one-year taught Master’s programmes at UK universities and does not cover MBA programmes. Applicants need a minimum of 60% marks in their previous qualifying exam, along with an offer of admission from a UK university for the relevant programme.
For Indian applicants, the process has two parts: a nomination through the Ministry of Education’s SAKSHAT portal, in addition to completing the CSC’s own online application system. Both steps are required, so students should not wait until the last moment. Given how close the deadline is, interested candidates are advised to check the official Commonwealth Scholarship Commission website immediately to confirm the exact cut-off and complete any pending steps.
