The song is about Parvati’s firm wish to marry Shiva. The seven sages tell her he has no home, no wealth and unusual ways. She stays calm and stays sure. The tone is warm and playful, in a devotional folk style.

In the Puranas and in Kalidasa’s Kumarasambhava, Parvati does long penance to win Shiva. The Saptarishi (seven sages) come to test her resolve by speaking against him, and she does not waver. The song retells that moment in village style.

Reports describe an earthy, conversational style with everyday folk words, and millions of views on YouTube and social media. A simple tune and a familiar story make it easy to share.

Sadhu Tiwari wrote, composed and sang ‘Parvati’ (also listed as ‘Jab Zid Pe Aa Gayi Parvati’). It runs 4 minutes 44 seconds and is one of 11 songs on the film’s soundtrack.

A Hindi film written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, based on his book ‘Divine Detour: That Changed My Life’, about the early life of Neem Karoli Baba. Reports list its India release as 7 August 2026, and it is described as the first of a planned trilogy.
