Aditya Birla BSE Total Market ETF, MSIF Long-Short Fund NFOs Close Today

Two new fund offers close for subscription today, October 14: the Aditya Birla Sun Life BSE Total Market ETF and the MSIF Equity Long-Short Fund, a specialised investment fund aimed at a different kind of investor.

The Aditya Birla Sun Life ETF tracks the broader BSE Total Market index, giving investors exposure across a wide swath of listed companies rather than just large-caps. The MSIF Equity Long-Short Fund, on the other hand, is a Specialised Investment Fund (SIF) with a ₹10 lakh minimum investment, making it suited to investors with a larger corpus and a higher risk appetite who want a long-short equity strategy rather than a plain vanilla fund.

As with any NFO, it’s worth remembering that a new fund has no track record yet, so it isn’t automatically better than an established option in the same category. Checking the exit load, expense ratio, and risk level — and comparing against similar existing funds — is a sensible step before investing, ideally with guidance from a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
